Instructors on all Purdue campuses are invited to a systemwide Turnitin training offered by Turnitin

Turnitin Originality, Purdue’s centrally supported originality checker and plagiarism detection tool for files submitted through Brightspace assignments, will host online training for Purdue West Lafayette, Purdue Fort Wayne, Purdue Global and Purdue Northwest instructors in September.

The session will run from 1-2:30 p.m. EST and noon-1:30 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Sept. 12. Registration is required, and a Zoom link to join the session will be shared via email. Use this registration link to sign up.

The training will focus on:

  • Creating a Turnitin assignment
  • Exploring how a student submits and views the Similarity Report
  • Discovering how instructors access the Similarity Report
  • Analyzing how to use the Similarity Report effectively
  • An overview of AI detection tool features and AI score
