Deciding to apply to Graduate School is exciting, but it can also feel like a daunting task. We are here to help make sure the process is clear and that you feel prepared to submit your application confidently.
Prepare Your Graduate Application Documents
- Review the application checklist and required documents for your intended online program’s application.
- Most programs require a resume, personal statement, personal history statement, and academic transcripts. Other program applications require GRE scores and supplemental documents. It is important to make sure you have all that is required prior to applying.
- Have the e-mail addresses of your Letter of Recommendation writers on hand to input into appropriate section in the application.
- If you are an international student:
- Ensure you have copies of your English Language Proficiency test scores. English Language Proficiency Requirements for the Purdue University Graduate School.
- Ensure your international transcripts are transcribed into English. If the documents are not in English, you must upload an English translation certified by the college or university which issued it.

The Graduate School Application is completely online, making it an easy process to upload documents and save your progress as you go.
You can apply to up to three graduate programs. If your intended program is offered in an online (distance) format, it is listed under the West Lafayette/Main Campus.
Paying the application fee is the final step to ensure your application is submitted.
